What an episode! Amazing! Squees all round! (and some cringe worthy moments, lol. troll loving.) I love this series to lots of itty little pieces, and will one day get round to ficcage again (probably after I've finished my degree and am in a job, lol, because I'm sure I'll have more time then :p)

Oh yes, my sister has finally finished screwing around with a 29 year old and is considering getting back with her ex! Much more sensible! Yay!

Thats all I have to say really :P

That and x factor is fast becoming the bain of my weekend. Seriously, how catty can one show get? The audience are so juvenile to keep booing certain acts, and the judges are really coming across as childish in thier bickering. Perhaps its time to call it quits and axe the show.
flame
So I started the title with mentioning conkers. Tis the season. Conkers everywhere! Now, honestly, I thought the problem I'd have is kids throwing them etc, but that wasn't the case at all today. I was walking along to my classes, minding my own business chatting to a friend, when lo and behold a conker of doom falls from a tree and smacks me in the back of the head! Well you can imagine my shock (and yelp of pain, because darn it those things hurt!) I had major trouble focusing in my class, due to the headache and general out of focus-ness mode my brain seemed to slip into :S. This actually continued for a few hours, and I even felt a little ill! Luckily, I think I'm surviving! I feel a little better now, and the only thing left is a headache, and quite probably, bruising! (Incidently, said friend was laughing her head off the rest of the way to class!)

Its also the season for the x factor to return to our screens here in the UK. Its a singing contest, but also seems to be a popularity contest. I really don't know why I continue to watch it. I think its another of those strange addictions I have. There are these super cool twins in the groups catagory that are amazing to watch! Mr Cowell says that they can't sing, but I like them, they sound good to me, and are very entertaining! I get too involved in these shows -_-" I also think Stacey is the coolest person in the competition, and Joe has the most amazing voice! The girl group are interesting too.

Essays are torture. Like pulling teeth. And I'm having to do one of those a week too! I shocked myself by getting a 70 this week though! 1st class mark :D We have around 25000 words in total to complete in assignments this year, and then 2 *long* exams! I shall survive though, its what im going to do next year thats more of a worry to me (since third year is the final year and all that)

Merlin was cancelled this week. For a inane boring reason. I hate motor racing, it gives me a headache. I'd definately rather have watched Merlin and Arthur *sigh* I can't wait until saturday! I did find time to write what I hope to be an amusing Merlin/Arthur story while I was musing away my time on the train the other day. I love musing on trains! I'll have to type that up at some point. I want more time at the moment! 48 hour days would be nice, then I could read all the fic I want, write all the fic I want, see all the people I want to, play all the games I want to, have a job, and keep up with all my uni work at once! Theres not enough time in a week! I've fallen behind about 12 episodes of the new fullmetal alchemist now too! And my friend who said he could never like it, but now has been brainwashed, has seen all of them up to date!

On that note I think I shall go and try that hot chocolate recipe, since its very very cold here today. (Honestly, what do I expect? This *is* England, and its always been cold, and windy, and rainy, and unpredictable!)
flame
Gah! 1000 words a week until christmas? Oh dear, what am I letting myself in for? Its going to be hectic this semester! Especially as I have a 5000 word assignment and a 3500 word assignment too! I must have missed the part where work is required to be your life in 3rd year!
My sister came home for the weekend, blew in like a hurricane and was away again just as fast, saying that she won't see us until christmas!
She made me think a little about how much I feel I missed by commuting, and my desire to move away is growing bigger by the second. I still worry about mum though, seeing as my dad died in january, she would be alone if I move away :S
Bradford is becoming my favourite, I just hope that someone with my degree is suitable. I shall have to pester my lecturers in the week, preferably Rob, because hes cool and understanding says my friend Julia anyway. I need to make my CV all impressive like :D
Havent even seen the new Merlin yet, which I must because apparently it has jealous Arthur!

So I just got back from moving my sister into university. I know its not forever but I can't help but feel kind of sad, and amazed at how well she was seeming to take it. When I attempted (and failed) to move into university halls I was a nervous wreck, worried people wouldn't like me seeing as I was (and still am) so different from most people my age, and came home within a week because I was such a mess after being kept up until 4am by drunks in and around the halls for a week. I'm going to miss my sister, and feel a bit weird or lost I suppose, since shes always been more social than me and managed to fit in well with the rest of society. (Me? Well, I hate clubbing and pubbing because its too noisy, I can't tolerate alchohol, and some people seem to think I'm lying or weird because of that, I prefer to stay in watching DVDS or anime or writing than going out, and I've only had a handful of relationships that havent lasted very long because I havent found anyone I've had the desire to stay with) Also, when I do move out, either next year or the year after to do a masters degree, I think I'll feel bad about leaving mum on her own because she won't have anyone because dad died :S Guess I'm just feeling a whole heap of confused right now. My sister is younger than me and getting on with her life faster than me it seems, and it makes me feel a little down I guess

On the plus side, Merlin is back on Saturday nights, and I love that show and all its wonderful inneundos. While the first episode was good though, it seemed to take a bit of a step back in Merlin and Arthurs 'relationship,' and I think I will scream if they pair anyone off in this series as was perhaps hinted at in the trailers, because what makes the show magic is that everyone flirts with everyone else, and I don't want to see Gwen and Arthur together because thats just wrong O-o.

I'm back at uni myself tuesday, and hope to join more societys this year, perhaps drama, ice skating and creative writing. They have an anime society, but I'm too picky about anime really :P I have a huge list of things to do before I go back, and hope its all going to get done, so i suppose I better get to it!

Italy!

Italy was fantastic! As a history student I would recommend most of the things we saw to anyone! Pisa was leaning as expected, the site surrounding it was interesting too! Pompei was really interesting despite the fact that we only saw a 5th of the site! It was a long, hot walk up mount Vesuvius, but it was worth it for the view! I know it probably sounds stupid though, but I was expecting lava! Its just an empty crater with a bit of smoke though! Rome was really interesting, and I'[ve got tons of souvenirs! The only visit we had that I wouldn't recommend to anyone was the Island of Capri, which had to be one of the most boring places I have ever been to! Basically, its just a playground for the rich and famous. Everything costs an absolute fortune (2000 euros a night for some hotel with no sea view and no meals included!, 200 euro for a pair of flimsy sandals...) there is next to nothing to do on the island, it being made of two towns and thats it with as far as i could see, few sites of interest. The only thing I liked was the boat ride *around* the island, as it was a welcome reprieve from the 40 degree heat! (I come from cold, cold england, I'm not used to heat like that XD)
On the way back through europe (we went through a total of 8 countries) we stopped at austria, which is beautiful and home to the most comfy beds known ever, and belgium, where the hotel was like a palace and the chocolate was delicious! I made a bit of an idiot of myself regarding my appalling German though. I studied it in school at one time, and had forgotten what all the words floating around in my head actually meant!
On a slightly less happy note, the whole holiday was so exhausting that instead of writing fiction in the evenings as i had planned, i was straight to bed most nights. I need to sort that out now im back :p

Postman deserves a medal!

So sometimes me in my laziness after a late night isn't up early saturday morning when our post arrives. Today I missed a package because of it, and was a little irritated at myself because I would have to wait until monday to collect it from the sorting office which is at the other side of town and through heaps of commuter traffic.
Our postman though is the nicest man in the world! He came back an hour later to try and redeliver my package, and this time I was up! I'm sure he doesn't have to do that, and its really nice of him to go out of his way to do that!
Its not the first time hes been great though. I was on my way out somewhere and he stopped me in the streets near our house and asked if anyone was in, as he had a signed for letter! No one was in our house and it saved us another trip to the post office of doom, as he let me sign for the letter there and then!
If only all customer service was this good! What a great way to start the day!
On another good note, I found a place in this darn country that sells pocky! I love that stuff, and now I can eat it all! Me and a friend bumped into fullmetal/deathnote fans in the manga section of borders books, and they showed us where the pocky was, and also told us about conventions (we *have* those?) anime camp (which they are going to and i am ohh so jealous) and local anime clubs! She makes her own cosplay costumes for the club and has an Ed coat (*sniffles because she also wants one*) and lots of merchandise, including t-shirts, which again i didn't think you could get without ebay :S
Now off for the third good thing of the day! A new chapter of At Gates Edge!

Exams are over, Pizza and Pocky!

Well, ok the exams were over ages ago, but I've been distracted with Xbox and gaming and rpgs and Halo! I have passed this year! YES!
I have now sorted out my enrolment for next year so that I have some archeology based units as I think I'd quite like to do that as a career. I like being outside!
I had pizza today! Mmm!
And I'm posting on livejournal at midnight! Am I crazy? Yes, its been one of those days! First the trains are on strike so I have to get a bus to meet my friends! I could have caught this bus from outside my house, yet I had already biked to town to get the train so I got the bus from their :S Still, Its exercise I suppose! Worked off that pizza!
I am slowly brainwashing all of my friends to like fullmetal alchemist! One guy is now so hooked that he can't stop watching it! Another is going to watch more tomorrow! Now for the RoyEd brainwashing phase!
I have developed the plans for a couple of my RoyEd fanfictions, though I have yet to make any real progress with formula. Lets just say its coming on about a paragraph every so often at the moment. I feel like I'm at a brick wall with it! Maybe In Italy with no distractions and nothing but pen and paper I shall write!
Also, on another wonderfully random note! I found a place that sells pocky!!!!!! All is right with the world!

One to go!

I'm slacking tonight, my next exam is monday, and I need a break! (that and theres this crazy fanfiction idea that won't leave me alone that I just *must* start now, involving fullmetal and a lot of pirates. Yes, its an AU, big time. Oh dear, the author has gone insane. Must be all those chocolate buttons, pizza, and exams)
Yes, today after our exam we all hung out, because the weather was *very* nice especially considering that this is the UK, and normal weather is rain! If I didn't have exams I would have been at the beach, but my university is inland, and thats where most of my friends currently are, so we went shopping and manga-ing, and pizza-ing. I think I scared a fair few of them with my slash tendancies and Roy/Ed ness. Heck, everyone should love it! Everyone should love fullmetal too! On that note, most of them did, but I am so *very* jealous of one friend, who has seen the new series up to date already! I fell behind because of exams :(

Exams!

Two to go! One tomorrow, one monday! I hate that I had one today and have another tommorrow though. Means I have next to no life in between *sob* I want to watch fullmetal/write fanfiction/do anything but revise!
On another note, kids today are stupid (and now I sound old) But if your riding a bike don't use your mobile phone! There was this kid this morning cycling in front of me and texting. He very nearly got hit by a car coming the other way because he was all over the road! Honeestly!
I saw a friend I havent seen in ages today, and chatted for a bit on the way home. I also spoke to another friend I wish I spent more time with. Summers going to be busy with all the visitations that I shall make to various people! If she truly doesnt mind I'd love to visit America XD
Anyways, back to the evil revision. Still, it will soon be over!

Taking a break!

Woo! I have completed 3 of 6 of my exams! The best thing is I have no more until the 28th, when I have three in succession :S
For today at least, I shall take a break, watch some fullmetal, mess around on my pc, talk to people, contemplate online shopping, etc etc etc.
Lol. Friday we go out for my mums birthday, I'm wondering how that'll go. When someone dies theres always 'firsts' to face. First birthdays, christmas, and holidays etc. I just wonder how shes going to be feeling and hope she'll be ok.
In other news I got a 70 on my essay! I shocked myself with that, as I thought it was the one that I'd done worst in! I got a first!!!!! *party*
I can get through these exams, I know I can. I have lots to look forward to at any rate. Italy, a summer of writing, trying to decide a career (heck I want to write fiction!) In fact maybe I'll do some writing now! Its been awhile!

One down, five to go!

Five minutes into the first exam, and my wrist decides it doesnt want to work anymore. I had to shake it every so often to keep it going. Not a bad exam though, and my grades for my essays havent suffered much from all the stress I've been under lately. I got one or two marks under what I did last term, so thats not too bad.
I have another exam tomorrow :S This one I think is harder, following that, another one on Monday :(
I think I have a break for a bit until the 28th, when I have another three in the space of five days. Honestly, who organised these timetables? It would be infinately better if I had one exam, a week break, then the next, etc. That would give time to actually revise properly and actually fit in the things I want to do too!
On another note, I've brought some pet gerbils to cheer me up and keep me company. I shall have to put pictures at some point. Two are brown, but one is smaller and more golden. I named him Ed. His darker coloured brother is Al, and I have a pretty silky black one called Roy XD
Yes, I've reached new heights of lunacy ^_^ Roy *really* likes Ed though, and Al likes to leave them to cuddle! Ed is a little crazy though, he likes to climb the bars of his cage which worries me that he might fall!
Anyway, I should revise, I came on here just to check my emails!

We are seeing each other again, although I don't know what to make of it. I can be a very confused person at times. Sometimes I think I like him, other times I'd rather be alone. I suppose the only way I can know for sure is to see him again.
Anyways, my exams have been superly stressing me out. Landscape will be fine, nice an easy. The rest ugh. I barely started revising for Anglo Saxons, and I'm really worried about it! I just want them to be over! In my opinion exams should be banned!
I can't believe my sister has been complaining about a 25 question multiple choice paper! Peh, she should take a real course! My exam is two hours long, and I have to write two essays! I have six of that variety! :S
Roll on summer, when I can write nothing but fanfiction and give my overworked brain a rest!

I have a date?!!?!

Lol, I know, I'm shocked too. I havent had one of those in five years!
The moment he said he hates milk I was like 'Woooow!' Fullmetal friends will get that reference, lol.
I still havent seen last weeks episode, but have been too busy! My deadlines are over, and I need to start working on that one-shot I promised a certain someone for her birthday tomorrow ^^
Then, on to exam revision!

Raining...shopping.

I have a sore throat from all that fangirling at the new Fullmetal. Guess it serves me right. But it *was* brilliant. I just need other people to see it to talk to them about it, or to find some people who have seen it to talk about it with XD. Now I understand how my sister feels about the new wolverine film, shes the only one she knows excited so shes trying to force it on everyone else. We have an understanding. She can go on about Hugh Jackman and how fit he is as Wolverine to me, and I'll smile and nod, and she will do the same when I want to go on about Fullmetal.

She dragged me on a shopping trip yesterday. The moment I said, I'm going to the city to take my book back, shes like, I'm coming and lets go shopping. Campus is like a complete ghosttown in the easter holidays! She bought another bag for her collection of course. I got a damaged pair of jeans cheap that I can easily fix up, and they look great ^_^ I also found the cheapest T-shirts ever! I'm rather gutted that I've been paying so much before. Under £2 each is a complete bargain! I played glare at the leafletters/salespeople to keep them away from me. Surprisingly, it worked! As always when shopping with my sister, we ate excessively. Greasy sausage and chips off the market is just one of the best things ever! We then came home and had pizza and chocolate and watched DVDs. Today I'm eating out again at an all you can eat chinese buffet. Is that a challenge? :D

It was raining this morning, so I wasn't looking forward to going out, but now the suns come out, so yay! I won't get wet! It has been excessively hot here lately, which is unusual. Unfortunately most of the shops havent heard of air conditioning either. I pity the staff.

Ooo yay, I'll just have time to read that GreedxEd before I leave!
flame

I've watched it! Heres some comments! (Again: SPOILERS for the first episode and quite possibly others Fullmetal too)

The Highlights:

Mustang talks to the Furher. Roys put in charge of capturing the ice alchemist and the Furher tells him to use Ed how he wishes *dies* Ed complains about Roy being a slave driver.

It seems as if the animation for battle has gotten more fluid in general. The opening theme is rather good too.

Edward messes with the Ice alchemist! We get those cool weapons he uses in the games with a funny face on the front XD.

The military thank Al, instead of Ed. Luckily Ed didn't seem to hear that insinuation, he was too busy fixing his coat with alchemy. Here he does a cute little swishy turn and yells at Al to get a move on.

Mustangs office. Ed is scolded for not listening to Roy when hes talking. Roy has this most evil sexy smirk and a *much* bigger office than he did in the past series. Hughes bursts into Roys office. Roys face is *very* funny =P

Elisia has become even sweeter and calls Ed short. Eds reaction is funny. Hes trying so hard not to beat up poor little Elicia for calling him short! Al has to hold him back! Al seems to have a more equal role to Ed, he seems better developed so far and protects Ed an awful lot.

In the Elrics room, they talk about Gracias pie, and because Ed said it tasted good, Al brings out a book with a list of things to eat when he gets his body back! Cute! Ed has got even cuter if thats at all possible!

Armstrong explodes on to the scene, sparkles and all XD. Ed and Al rush to the scene of the explosions Armstrongs making and Ed needs protecting from Al when the attacks turn on them. That was really cute, and made Ed look like a rag doll. They obviously know Armstrong already. Hes not treating them like kids as much either. He lets them take responsibility and run off alone.

Roys finds Ice Alchemist, snaps, but misses and gets drenched with water, XD.

Roy has reached new heights of coolness. Theres a really kool image of him marching towards a wall of ice and trying to melt it. Riza is not amused and mutters to herself about him being useless. She even has a case of spare gloves for him! I believe that our flame has developed a hatred for ice!

Roys office: Roys sneezing and has a cold from all that water XD. I like that so far hes playing a bigger part in this.

Ed at the hospital afterwards. Unforunately, Armstrong comes to see him. He sparkles, he brings red roses, he strips his shirt off, and wants to comfort Ed while hes hospitalised. Ed and Al look rightly scared. Especially when Armstrong says they can touch his muscles... Heck, I'm scared for them!

The end theme has cute little chibi sketches!!! AWWWW!!!! Those are amazingly cute and chibified.

Preview for next time: To tell the story of how it began. Resembool, Ed and Als mom, etc. I can't wait.

OMG! It was out yesterday and the first few minutes look amazing! *is incoherant from slashy suggestions*
Unfortunately I can't watch the rest until my sister has force fed me Twilight and pizza (vampires, really. I'd rather watch alchemy and Ed and Roy and OMG that opening looks so stunningly amazing *dies again*)

Obviously I'm going to do a nice little commentary on episode one later. Complete with fangirl *squees*
Thats after I see what the fuss is about Twilight.

Least I sorted all that town stuff out, eye appointments, banking, new bits for my car (which I'm told *will* without doubt fail its MOT *sigh*) and overdue fines for the library. I still have so much stuff to do though, applying for student finance, getting exam concessions, my extended assignment, the car MOT, taking my other library books back (after i finish it) an exam revision plan, and finishing that nice smutty one shot that attacked me yesterday.

ZOMG THERES A NEW FULLMETAL SERIES!!! *is hyper manic excited* (And probably has WAY too much chocolate)

I had a terrible weekend, so I did something I've never done before, I asked for an extension on my essay. I only wanted until Monday, but hes giving me until the 24th of April. Long time.. It was kinda scary, since I've never had to ask for one before. My other ones in tomorrow, so I'm frantically working on that now. Its too long... gotta love word limits...

Shoutout for the wonder of cordless phones! I can sit on the sofa and talk, rather than standing around! (Yes, I know, the technologys been around for *ages* but we are a little backward. Only just got off the dinosaur that is dial up connection...)

Went out for a meal last night with some mates from uni. Actually really fun, though one of my mates says I was flirting with one of our guy friends all evening... Well I never! I never realised if I was...

We went to a japanese restaurant called Wagamamas, and I had some really nice Chicken Ramen with grilled chicken, and rice as a side, because I couldn't decide if I wanted noodles or rice, so I had both. XD It was *really* great food! And cheap too, since we had vouchers!

Exams are soon, starting in May. Thats kind of scary, since for three of them I don't really have much of a clue. The other three are fine though.

Can't wait until monday!!! New fullmetal series! Trailers are awesome! *squees hysterically and runs around like a loon*

Lurking

Yes, its official, I'm lurking on the internet.
I figured my essays will not write themselves.
Sunday night I had a crisis where my 5000 word essay file was corrupted by the evil machine that I like to call my laptop. Its running slower than ever these days, so perhaps I'm in line for a new one. I just hope it lasts beyond the deadlines next thursday!
I must remember to enrol in my modules by Friday, or I'm not sure I'll be allowed on the course next year. Better not forget that in my distractions.
Though now I'm pooling fanfic ideas in my head again. A few posts on a friends livejournal has made me rather tempted to write a RoyxEdxRoyxEd, in which there are somehow two of each, or at least find one thats already written, because i really don't know where I'll find the time to write at the moment (though strangely I find time to write here and read fanfiction)
Heres to next Friday when the deadlines are over!

Essays and distractions

I've been working gradually on these assignments, and they seem never ending! Its driving me slowly mad how theres so much to do!
Anyway today, my mind decided that I should finally look at those Fullmetal spoilers/trailers about the new series that is released oh so soon! Luckily its after my deadlines or I can't see myself getting them done without watching it. I've been avoiding looking up anything related to the new fullmetal as before I've ruined things by finding spoilers, but to be honest I cant say that theres an awful lot of information that I can find out anyway...There are really no clues as to what its going to be about other than 'following the manga more faithfully.' That shows in the artwork. Really. At first I wasn't too happy with how Roy looks now, but he grows on you. I've now decided hes sexier than before XD He seems to be in it an awful lot more too, which would be nice. Now if they just keep certain other nice characters alive this time...I suppose I can but dream.

The latest long trailer on youtube is amazing!!! Now I'm wanting to see it now (and also rewatch the entireity of the other series as a build up to the latest thing). Not exactly practical right now with the three essays of doom breathing down the back of my neck. Joy. So, what to do? Get distracted again and turn over the rest of my weekend willingly to fullmetal? Tempting. Alternatively I could work on my assignments by day and stay up all night watching dvds and msn'ing and such. That would work if I didn't love sleeping so much. Just feeling a little gutted that my free time at the moment is next to nothing. I havent spoken to most of my friends that I don't see in class in perhaps over a month, probably even nearer to two! I havent worked on any fanfiction in waaaay too long for my own sanity. Still, after the deadlines, I should have a week to recooperate. I'll do whatever I want! (Of course then theres the exam period to revise for...) At the moment, Roll on summer holidays! And September... When theres a new series of Merlin, and my university work will be even more targeted towards my interests.
